Teo San José - Art on the cutting edge. Commissions, Metal Sculptures, stone and wood.
If steel transforms its
Hardness,
Rigidity,
Mass.
Into such words as:
Slight,
Sensuous,
Supple,
Airlike.
Does its essence still remain?
If its aura,
Not its form,
Is what fills steel with
Grandeur
If its colour,
Not its rust,
Is what fills steel with
Presence
Does its essence still remain?
If it stops being empty, If it stops being full,
If it simply stops standing there,
And starts "Being",
Does its essence still remain?
If steel stops being lifeless
And starts breathing,
Transforming itself everyday,
Would you say it is alive?
And Art?
Is it no longer art
By having no definition?
Or does its essence
Really lie
In "not being defined"?
So, then . . .
Is Art not
The human ability to
Bestow upon the senses
Perceptions from the
SOUL?
